So What’s This Healthy Living Partnership?

Since 2005, four agencies serving North Clackamas County with healthy recreational options have worked to develop the Healthy Living Partnership Project (HLPP). Created to share resources and serve as a user-friendly network for consumers who want to live and promote a healthy lifestyle, The Healthy Living guide is now distributed to about 40,000 households in North Clackamas County and to anyone requesting it. Staff members from North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District, Clackamas County Parks and East Side Athletic Clubs spent months tackling issues to be able to promote and enhance recreational opportunities for all age groups in their community. The quarterly guide includes classes, special events, activities and paid advertising inside the 48-page guide.

HLPP continues to seek more innovative ways of enhancing its customer service and making North Clackamas County a better place to live, work and play. Customer service first came in the package of a combined program guide, with all partners’ offerings in one innovative publication to be offered to the public four times a year. The partners have dedicated themselves to the mission of developing strategic partnerships with both public and private entities.

The four-partner project now joins forces to generate four quarterly issues of a recreational program guide instead of the individual sets of materials they had previously produced and distributed. The partnership includes information distribution, special event coordination, publicity and public relations, joint project development and other activities or benefits. They hope you find it helpful and that it makes sense. Let the creators know. And register for the healthy choices found in the guide.

The mission is simple – to coordinate community recreation and education services and serve residents of all ages. Healthy living isn’t a campaign or even a condition. It’s a goal, a standard and a benchmark we all hope to achieve. Step in and join the partnership.
